It sounded like a good idea, but during the cold season this has the opposite effect. Instead of a meditative atmosphere, the distractions have increased. I think a happy medium would by quiet instrimentive music.

I agree that it is a distraction, that the shuffling, banging of the kneelers, and general NOISE is clearly heard; to me it takes away from the ' sacred ambience' that Holy Communion should be surrounded with. Quiet contemplative music is a good idea. Maybe it's a Lent thing (at least I hope so).  |

Well, the communion music is back (3/1/2008), but check out the noise at the beginning of service! We need to reflect QUIETLY on what we are there for...greeting our fellow parishioners can be done after the service!
