It sounded like a good idea, but during the cold season this has the opposite effect. Instead of a meditative atmosphere, the distractions have increased. I think a happy medium would by quiet instrimentive music.

I agree that it is a distraction, that the shuffling, banging of the kneelers, and general NOISE is clearly heard; to me it takes away from the ' sacred ambience' that Holy Communion should be surrounded with. Quiet contemplative music is a good idea. Maybe it's a Lent thing (at least I hope so). Confused

Well, the communion music is back (3/1/2008), but check out the noise at the beginning of service! We need to reflect QUIETLY on what we are there for...greeting our fellow parishioners can be done after the service! Rolling Eyes
